It may be winter on the calendar, but crypto development, market, and energy continue heating up! 

Especially in the Oasis ecosystem, the global community of core contributors, privacy ambassadors, creators, and researchers accomplished quite a lot in the past month. There are many reasons to celebrate during the holidays! 😀

Engineering and Team Update

Oasis Core Lead and Oasis Foundation Engineering Director both gave in-depth interviews to the community on their views for the future of Oasis, why privacy matters, and what the engineering culture is like for their teams. Click here and here to read more.

After extensive review from engineering and community members of the Oasis team, the 2023 Privacy4Web3 hackathon winners were announced! And a fantastic finale event was hosted. Watch a recording here!

One of the most important updates from November (and all of 2023) is the successful completion of the Eden upgrade on Oasis Mainnet. Readers will remember the early phases of upgrading Eden on Testnet. Now the process is fully complete!

Some of the key features included in this upgrade:

• Delegators can vote in on-chain governance proposals. 

• Parallel runtimes (ParaTimes) robustness and performance improvements. 

• On-chain governance includes network parameter voting. 

• ParaTimes can obtain the latest consensus state without delay. 

• Immediate synchronization of new Oasis nodes. 

• Instantaneous ParaTime upgrades with no mandatory downtime.

• Ephemeral and state key rotations to mitigate compromised key manager nodes. 

• Nodes can distribute ParaTime bundles automatically.

• The illumineX DEX (built on Sapphire) announced its testnet upgrade before mainnet launch!
  

• Coinsender announced its public launch and Sapphire integration for better Web3 payments.
  

• Crust Files also announced its plans to integrate Oasis encryption for better data storage.
  

• Lizard Exchange announced its offer to participate in Ocean’s Predictoor (built with Oasis privacy).
  

• V3rified announced the availability of tickets as NFTs with OPL.
